The Departed Review

On Friday night I watched this Oscar winning film. It was a good movie but not as good as Infernal Affairs (the movie which it is based on). Infernal Affairs is a Hong Kong made movie which was really good. The Departed basically americanized it. Parts where changed to make it worse. The message which was trying to be said was better done in Infernal Affairs. I reccommend seeing Infernal Affairs first, then The Departed. It is hard to describe the differences and stuff like that without giving away the movie. The acting was good. I found that the music they used didn't really suit the movie.

I don't think that this film deserved to win Best Picture at the Oscars. I would give this movie 7/10 because it was a good movie but not higher because there were some differences between the original and this one that are not forgiving, and a few things like that.
